    Community:
    HDB Houses – Fire Safety.

    Dangers:
    -Improper evacuation due to panic.
    -Unnecessary gawking from on-lookers.
    -Danger of falling objects from the burning units.
    -Nearby house unit will/maybe get affected by the house that was burned.
    -Lift might breakdown due to short circuit in the particular block.
    -The incident may affect other people mentally.
    -Those without any knowledge or background about fire-safety may encounter dangers.
    -Children who are playing around that particular block.
    -Stubborn on-looker [does not do anything, e.g. calling 995 or the neighbor helping]; this may lead to extra damage cause and lives inside the house to be endangered.

    Project description:
    A device that will detect whether a fire has broke out within the household unit, alerting the owner, neighbors and nearest fire station. If owner of the unit isn’t in, a text message will be sent to the mobile phone or a call will be made to verify their whereabouts.

    Good attempt so far guys!

    For the KPU people, your project description is a bit too general. It seems to me that you are trying to tackle too many issues. It may be good to zoom into just one main issue, especially with the limitation of time.
