For today, since your teacher is on MC, we will learn to do something on Comms Skills.

Create a 5 page Power Point ePortfolio to market yourself to your future employer. Your ePortfolio should comprise the following pages:
1) About Me
2) Education
3) CCA
4) Work Experience
5) Dreams & Goals.

Once you have completed, saved it into dropbox and post the link of your work under comments for your teacher to have a look.

In lieu of this morning class, we are doing an online learning activity which will count for your attendance when you submit to me today by 2359hrs.

Individually, work on the following and reply me via email to ernestlimite@gmail.com
1) State the problem that your team is trying to solve
2) Research and state what has been done before in Singapore to solve this problem. Give me the URL link to your finding. Find from at least 2 different search engines.
3) Choose one of their proposed solutions and list down at least 3 advantages and disadvantages of that proposed solution.
4) List your own ideas on how to solve the problem that your group listed (in point 1).

Those groups aiming to take part in MHA competition, please send in your application by today too.

ePortfolio – Creating your very own promotional site

This forms part of your 20% for your LPD module, which incorporates your Cover Letter(5%) and Resume(5%).

Steps to design your ePortfolio:

1.      Go to www.wix.com and sign up with your email and password.

2.      Choose a template. Choose under: Templates – All; Category – Portfolios. Unless you want to pay for it, if not, choose under free category.

3.      Once you have chosen a template, click edit and create your own ePortfolio.

4.      You can see my basic sample at http://www.wix.com/ernestlimite/ernestsampleeportfolio for ideas. Do google other sites for more ideas too.

5.      Basic things to include: Home, About (tell me interesting things about you that is relevant to your future work), Resume (import your earlier work done into here), School Work (your work reports, transcripts, papers written, etc), Contact tabs.

6.      Have fun. And ask if you need help. Don’t give up easily. 


Remember: Deadline to submit: 31 May.
